BEKASI – Hundreds scavengers at the Burangkeng Final Disposal Site (TPA), Setu, Bekasi Regency, undergoing swab test antigens carried out by the COVID-19 Task Force. This is done to prevent the spread of the corona virus in the area.

“The scavengers who underwent the antigen swab test have just returned from a number of places of origin,” said the Head of Setu Police, AKP Mukmin on Friday (28/5). The antigen swab test for hundreds of scavengers involves elements of three pillars, namely the police and TNI, as well as the government.

This activity aims to prevent new clusters of spreading COVID-19 as well as break the chain. The scavengers who were subjected to the swab test were mostly from Cirebon and Indramayu, the rest from other neighboring areas.

“They have just returned from their hometown,” he said. Mukmin explained that the swab test was carried out by officers by setting up an antigen swab test post and a mobile swabber facility in the area around the Burangkeng TPA. Read: 90% discount is the cause of the crowd at JakCloth Store Bekasi

The officer then invited the scavengers one by one to undergo a swab test. The hundreds of scavengers who were working were initially surprised by the arrival of the officers and some of them even refused the invitation, but after the officers gave their understanding, they were finally willing to undergo a series of swab tests.

In addition to the scavengers, a similar swab test was also conducted on dozens of garbage truck drivers who are known to have relatively high mobility. However, of the hundreds of scavengers and truck drivers who underwent antigen swab tests today, none of them were reactive.
