Swiss press reports revealed the reason behind the failure of Al-Ahly’s negotiations with Lucerne to join Nigerian striker Blessing Aliki during the last winter transfer window.

The Swiss newspaper Luzernerzeitung confirmed that the player’s desire caused the failure of the deal, noting that the 23-year-old player refused to return to an African club again, and his desire to complete his professional career in Europe.

Swiss newspaper: the club did not mind the departure of the player

The newspaper reported that the Swiss club did not mind the departure of the player, and that he agreed to the financial compensation offered by Al-Ahly officials, but the player’s desire prevented the completion of the deal.

The Nigerian player was the first candidate on the list of Swiss coach Rene Vyler, the red team, especially since he supervised his training before, and knows his potential well.

Al-Ahly contracted Senegalese Alliot Badji during the past winter transfers for a period of 4 and a half years, after the failure of the negotiations to include “Eliki” to support the Red Line attack line.
