Home rights exchanged: Hanover Indians play in Krefeld on Sunday

Actually, the Hanover Indians would have received the Krefeld EV on Sunday (7 p.m.) at the horse tower, but the responsible health department thwarted the planning. The bus trip to the capital of Lower Saxony lasting several hours could not be approved, “because it poses a risk of infection for third parties,” said the Indians on their website.

Last Friday, the Krefelder reported a corona infection in their own ranks and had to cancel the home game against the Hamburg Crocodiles. Now the KEV can train again and play games in their home hall, but an away trip is not yet possible. The game in Hanover was therefore postponed to December 9th.

Away weekend for the Indians

It is now clear that the planned game can also take place on Sunday. Both teams exchanged home rights and are now fighting for points in Krefeld. An exhausting weekend away from home is now on the agenda for the Indians. Because Lenny Soccio’s team has to compete at the Herford Ice Dragons on Friday evening (8.30 p.m.) before they face Krefeld two days later.

Scorpions against Herne and Erfurt demanded

The Hannover Scorpions also have two games on the program this weekend. On Friday (8 p.m.) the Herner EV will make a guest appearance in Mellendorf, on Sunday (4 p.m.) Tobias Stolikowksi’s team has to go to the Black Dragons Erfurt.

The Scorpions are championship leaders and the only undefeated team in the North Season. In the still young season, last year’s champions from Mellendorf beat Tilburg Trappers as well as the Crocodiles Hamburg (third) and the Indians (fourth). With last year’s champion Herne “we have the next strong opponent. Our opening program is not easy – but okay, it’s going quite well, ”says Scorpions coach Stolikowski and laughs.
