Home pop musicians “Other Boys” release their debut album “Dogs Take to the Streets”

“In the album, we talk about topics that are currently relevant from the perspective of our peers with a small dose of irony. Relationships, money and parties are pervasive motives that everyone needs at a time when we are forced to distance ourselves and spend more time at home than usual,” says group member Jānis Pētersons.

“Although we can’t present the album in person as we would like, we are deliberately publishing it right now. We hope that “Dogs take to the streets” will serve as a charge of fresh energy in this dark time. Get up, dance alone and enjoy, ”invites Dagnis Roziņš.

The album includes both the band’s previous hits as “I Always Late” and “Parades, What It Is”, as well as new compositions in collaboration with Latvian-renowned artists such as Patrisha and Arstarulsmirus. The album was produced by Robert Memmen, mixed by Paul Davis Megi and the mastering process was performed at the Chartmakers studio in Finland, where it was processed by the famous sound engineer Svante Forsbacks, who has worked with groups like Rammstein and Apocalyptica so far.

“Limousine on a Chalk” is a single with which the band announces the release of their debut album. “If we can’t meet in person at the concert, then this song and its video will allow us to party at home,” the choice of the single is justified by music producer and participant of the show “X Factor” Robert Memmen. “We have to stop waiting for someone else to create something positive, instead we want to give everyone a chance to get lost in our music and forget about everything else,” describes the band’s drummer Toms Kagainis.

Baiba Sipeniece-Gavare, Sanda Dejus, Jānis Romanovskis, Edgars Bāliņš, Gusts Kikusts, Kaspars Mauriņš, Edgars Točs, Andris Daugaviņš and others also take part in the video of the latest single. “Over the past year, we have met and collaborated with many fantastic people. It was important for us that our friends also participate in the single, which we release with the album, ”comments the group’s guitarist Krišjānis Ozols. The video was directed by Artūrs Streļuks, edited by Elvis Lācis, choreographed by Beāte Svarinska, and the joint release of the single and album is provided by producer Jānis Kļaviņš and the company “Forte Production”.

The group’s keyboardist Reinis Višķeris calls: “This is just the beginning of the story of the group” Other Boys “. The debut album is our attempt to introduce fresh winds to Latvian pop music. We hope that the listeners will give us the opportunity and find the time to listen carefully to the album, it has a lot of hidden musical treasures. ”

The group “Other Boys” is a musical association of six people, whose music can be described as a jar of fresh tonic, first shaken and then opened. The group consists of Jānis Pētersons (vocals), Dagnis Roziņš (vocals, saxophone), Reinis Višķeris (keyboards), Krišjānis Ozols (guitar), Roberts Memmēns (bass) and Toms Kagainis (drums).
