The home of Marseille influencer Maeva Ghennam was targeted by gunfire and incendiary devices on the night of Sunday to Monday, the Marseille prosecutor’s office said on Monday.
Two people who broke into the influencer’s property in the eastern districts of Marseille around 12:45 a.m. shot the front door twice with a rifle before throwing incendiary devices, without causing any injuries, according to a police source.
Two 12-gauge shell casings were found at the scene, according to the same source, which added that the incident was filmed by CCTV cameras. The cameras had filmed two people breaking into the young woman’s property earlier in the day, although it was not possible to determine whether they were the shooters.
“Our intervention was very quick,” Marseille firefighters told AFP, adding that a neighbor had already extinguished the beginning of the fire, which left traces of about 5 square meters on the facade of the villa where two people were. The identity of these two people has not been specified.
An investigation has been opened and entrusted to the criminal brigade of the judicial police for “violence with a weapon and destruction by incendiary means”, the prosecution stressed.

Maeva Ghennam, 27, who describes herself as a “lifestyle influencer” and is followed by 3.8 million subscribers on TikTok and 3.2 million on Instagram, confirmed on her social networks on Monday that she had been targeted. “They tried to kill me, they shot at my house,” she said on Snapchat.
“You bunch of cum bags, I’m not afraid of you,” she also said.
The influencer and also the founder of a makeup brand became known on the reality TV show “Les Marseillais” in 2018. She also promoted an “intimate surgery” operation intended to “rejuvenate the vagina” and capsules to combat its sagging.
The young woman had announced to her subscribers on Sunday, before this attack, her decision to return to Dubai after several months in Marseille.
