A man and a woman in their twenties were transported to the hospital after several individuals who entered their home violently assaulted them.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight, on rue Marie-Rollet, in the Saint-Sacrement district of Quebec. First called to intervene for the disorder around 00:45, the Police Department of the City of Quebec (SPVQ) realized the extent of the event.
“Several suspects would have entered the apartment to assault two victims, a man and a woman in their twenties,” explains Sandra Dion, spokesperson for the SPVQ.
If there is no fear for their lives, they were both taken to hospital for treatment of injuries.
Quickly, the Judicial Identity Unit as well as investigators were dispatched to the site. A 24-year-old suspect has been arrested and will be met by said investigators.
He is scheduled to appear by video conference on Saturday and could face charges of break and enter, assault with a weapon, assault with a weapon and assault with injury.
However, the investigation is continuing to allow the SPVQ to find the other assailants involved in this affair.
