On April 3rd the Handball Sport Verein Hamburg receives the SC DHfK Leipzig. The Handball Bundesliga has scheduled the game of the 26th matchday at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday. The game will be played in the sports hall in Hamburg. Ticket sales for the duel with keeper Jens Vortmann’s ex-team will start next week. According to the current status, HSVH only has one home game in April, otherwise only plays away. However, a catch-up date for the game against HBW Balingen-Weilstetten, which was postponed due to corona infections (originally scheduled for yesterday, Thursday, February 24th), is still being sought.
Also Erlangen game in the sports hall Hamburg
The HSVH will also play its upcoming home game in the week after next in the sports hall in Hamburg. On March 10th the Jansen team welcomes HC Erlangen. Kick-off is at 7:05 p.m. There are still a few tickets below www.hamburg-handball.de/einzelticket available.
According to the original season plan, the games against Erlangen and Leipzig were to be played in the Barclays Arena, but after long-lasting corona restrictions, both games have now been moved to the Hamburg sports hall. Nevertheless, the HSVH wants to play in the Barclays Arena again this season and is currently planning the games against SC Magdeburg and TVB Stuttgart, for which the final decision on the venue has not yet been made. The duel against TuS N-Lübbecke at the beginning of May (not yet finalized) will definitely take place in the Hamburg sports hall.
Exact number of spectators still open
According to the current status, HSVH can welcome 2,000 spectators to the duel against HC Erlangen in the week after next. However, those responsible for the first division are in close contact with the city and the responsible authorities in order to be able to admit more spectators to the Erlangen game. A decision by the Prime Ministers’ Conference last week basically allows a capacity utilization of up to 60% for indoor sporting events, which means that the HSVH is likely to let around 2,500 spectators into the Hamburg sports hall.
There is still no certainty about the number of spectators allowed for the Leipzig game in early April. But since for the 20.3. a far-reaching lifting of the corona restrictions for all areas has been announced, those responsible at HSVH are currently preparing to open their doors on April 3rd. possibly no longer be subject to viewer restrictions. However, it is expected that after 20.3. certain corona protection measures still apply in the hall.
