The Philadelphia Flyers conceded a 3-1 home defeat to the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League (NHL) on Sunday. Michael Raffl from Carinthia was part of the hosts’ squad, but was ultimately not used. Philadelphia played in front of fans for the first time since March 10, 2020. 3,100 spectators, 15 percent of the total capacity at the Wells Fargo Center, were allowed.
The caps goals were scored by Russians Alexander Ovetschkin (36th) and Dmitri Orlow (40th) and Nick Jensen (45th). Joel Farabee (12th) took the lead for the Flyers. Philadelphia now ranks 16th in the best ice hockey league in the world.
