Home Composting Workshop at the San José Cultural Center – News Center

From the Municipality’s Environment Coordination, we invite you to participate in the new Home Composting Workshop, open to the entire community, that will be carried out this Tuesday, September 24, within the framework of the “Olavarría Composta” program.

The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the “San José” Municipal Cultural Center. Registration is now open and can be done through the following link. In addition, there will be compost bin raffles among the participants.

This workshop aims to promote home composting, a simple way to treat organic urban solid waste at source, That is, the waste is treated and disposed of in the same place where it was generated, saving a large amount of economic resources and minimizing negative impacts on the environment.

The objective of this type of meeting is to provide the necessary tools and knowledge so that residents of the city can recycle the organic waste generated at home, in a simple and environmentally friendly way, obtaining as a final product a free, excellent quality fertilizer to use in the orchard or garden.
