The two large markets of Barcelona (-10%) and Madrid (-8%) are close to the average.
Spaniards overestimate the value of their homes when they want to sell them. This is the main conclusion of an analysis that the Euroval expert carried out on 23 large residential markets, with data from the last nine months and over 72,000 transactions. “The result leaves no doubt about the high claims of its owners,” say the appraiser.
According to the study, buyers were able to reduce up to 9% on average during the negotiation on the starting price of the house, in the 23 municipalities analysed. The biggest price differences can be seen in Victory (-23%), going from the 2,375 euro/sqm initially offered to 1,822 euro/sqm at the closing of the deal. they follow him Granada (-21%) or Malaga (-20%)with significant discounts on the initial price.
Between 10% and 20% discount Also appearing are the cities of Seville (-18%), Gijón (16%), Marbella (-14%), Murcia (-12%), Elche (-11%) and a draw between Barcelona and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria ( -10%).

Finally, the study specifies the average price of home sales, with Barcelona in the lead with 250,000 euros, followed by Seville with 249,360 euros and Madrid with 220,000 euros. Conversely, the lowest average price was paid in Torrevieja (75,000 euros), Elche (77,500 euros) and Mijas (90,750 euros).
