Only one duel between Ligue 2 clubs …
A little over an hour from the start of this ceremony organized in Clairefontaine, seven groups have already been drawn (A, B, C, D, E, F and G). The Lorraine players, included in Group J, will therefore have to wait a bit before getting to know their future opponents.
Fifteen Ligue 2 clubs have already been fixed. The biggest poster designed so far? The duel between Saint-Etienne and Rodez, two of the worst classified in Ligue 2. The poster between Valenciennes (Ligue 2) and Red Star (National) is also worth a detour.

FC Metz, Sochaux and ASNL in the same group
We will not see a “full” draw yet. There is therefore no chance to see Entente Villerupt-Thil face Girondins de Bordeaux or AS Saint-Etienne. The FFF will proceed by geography and has divided this draw into groups. All the Lorraine clubs therefore find themselves in group J with teams from Alsace and Franche-Comté, including FC Sochaux-Montbéliard. In other words, for FC Metz whoever enters the race in this 7th round, the most difficult draw would be to challenge Sochaux in Bonal. The most convenient? Take on one of the three remaining Regional 2 clubs: Hombourg-Haut, Villers-lès-Nancy or Heillecourt.
