During his presidency, Pino not only held an institutional role; he built a deep bond with young lawyers, ensuring that his passion for justice and integrity was reflected in relationships, which became opportunities for growth. His ability to listen and care for others has left an indelible mark on the Catanzaro legal community. As he pointed out the president of the “Cantafora” Criminal Chamber, Francesco Iacopino: “Pino has always had a sincere love for young people”, demonstrating that a good leader is one who takes care of his team, not only professionally, but also humanly.
Among the interventions, that by the lawyer Leo Pallonewho expressed his gratitude for Pino’s generosity, recalling a difficult moment in his life in which Pino supported him with words of comfort and closeness. Franco Scarpino, past governor of District 108 Ya, remembers Pino as a great teacher and active member of the Lions, underlining how fundamental his presence was for the group. The lawyer Umberto Ferrari highlighted Pino’s crucial role in giving new impetus to the Council of the Catanzaro Bar Association, contributing to improving relations with the National Bar Council and promoting recognition for the Order.

The presence of wife Italia, sons Danilo and Gaetano, beloved grandchildren Giuseppe and Vincenzosupported by his mother Maria Laura (Danilo’s wife), on this special day, represents the continuity of a love that transcends time. Today’s ceremony is not only a moment of celebration, but also a collective commitment to carry forward the principles that Pino loved so much: integrity, justice and solidarity.
“In the last 19 years of his presidency, Pino has fought with great passion. For him, the Council was like a family, an environment in which to work with interest and enthusiasm. Today, seeing all these friends who loved him is a great recognition and a nice tribute for him – concluded his wife Italia -. I want to sincerely thank all of you for being here. A special thank you to Enza, to all the councilors and colleagues who worked to organize this event. Pino returned here through this photo that we can now admire in the corridor.”
But from that corridor, between those rooms of the court, the lawyer Iannello never left. We seemed to see him, walking slowly and slyly in his toga, holding everyone in an immense embrace, on his birthday. With the glass raised for an auspicious toast.
