In an emotional video message, Princess Kate announced the end of her chemotherapy. In addition to the happy news, there were interesting details to discover.

Norfolk – After Princess Kate (42) announced her cancer diagnosis earlier this year, royal fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. On her official InstagramKate published a touching video on her account announcing the end of her chemotherapy. She also paid tribute to King Charles (75) and Queen Elizabeth (1926-2022) with some hidden details.

The pictures show the family of the heir to the throne as close as never before

The video was recorded during the summer holidays that Kate and William spent with their children at the royal estate Anmer Hall in the county of Norfolk. While Kate reports from off-screen about her experiences since her cancer diagnosis, various clips show the entire family on trips into nature, picnicking in the forest and playing cards with Kate’s parents. The family of the British heir to the throne had never presented themselves in such a private and intimate way before.

Aside from the surprisingly intimate footage, a closer look revealed some references to other members of the Royal Family. Among other things, clips show youngest child Prince Louis on a swing that King Charles gave to William and Kate as a wedding present in 2011. The fact that the engraved piece of wood is prominently featured in the video does not seem to be a coincidence. As the British magazine “Tatler“ reports that Charles and Kate became extremely close because of their simultaneous cancer illness.

Princess Kate took the late Queen as a model for her video

Similar to King Charles, Kate is said to have had a good relationship with Queen Elizabeth. The late queen was always an important role model for the young new princess. In 2022, royal expert Sally Bedell Smith (76) revealed in an interview with “People“that Kate had “learned a lot from the Queen by observing.”

This may be why Kate recreated a legendary shot from the documentary “Elizabeth R: A Year in the Life of the Queen” for her video message. In the video, the Duchess of Cambridge is at the wheel of a Land Rover, with the camera angle and background similar to that in the documentary. Queen Elizabeth, whose second death anniversary was in September, caused great excitement at the time with her car ride in a jeep.
