The ex-Kieler was there until the South Korean national team was eliminated in the round of 16 against Brazil (4-1). A club receives 10,950 dollars (9,800 euros) from Fifa for each day of deportation. The storks get a share of this.

A total of 837 players bring money to their clubs
As Fifa announced on Thursday, a total of 209 million US dollars (around 188 million euros) will be paid to 440 clubs for 837 World Cup players. “The Club Participation Program is a prime example of how much club football is benefiting from the World Cup,” said Fifa President Gianni Infantino.

At almost 300,000 US dollars, FC St. Pauli received the most money of all (then) German second division clubs for the release of Jackson Irvine, who played for Australia at the World Cup finals, but also for Daniel-Kofi Kyereh (Ghana), who had switched to SC Freiburg before the tournament in Qatar. HSV gets 69,352 US dollars (62,137 euros). For comparison: FC Bayern Munich, as the German club with the largest revenues from the CBP, will receive around 4.3 million dollars (3.85 million euros).
