hololive production, a popular VTuber brand, has announced the debut of their new English group, “hololive English -Advent-“. The group will make their debut starting from July 30.
The name “Advent” refers to the co-conspirators who escaped from the prison known as “The Cell”. Despite having their own reasons for being imprisoned, their common goal is to resist the world, defy fate, and overthrow the monotony of everyday life. The group consists of five members.
The first member is Shiori Novella, also known as シオリ・ノヴェラ. She is a “collector” driven by the desire for knowledge. She collects stories and precious memories, turning them into bookmarks and preserving them. Unfortunately, some of the stories she collects contain forbidden content that humans should not touch, leading to her imprisonment. Despite finding her experience fascinating, she decides to escape in order to explore more stories.
The second member is Koseki Bijou, also known as 古石ビジュ―. She is a crystallization of human emotions. Many fools in this world try to possess this radiance, leading to her secret imprisonment. When she comes into contact with people and feels their kindness, her radiance seems to become even brighter.
The third member is Nerissa Ravencroft, also known as ネリッサ・レイヴンクロフト. She is a music-loving demon who possesses the power of song. Her singing has the ability to subvert the world, which led the gods to seal her away out of fear. However, her desire to convey her singing to people has never faded. During her imprisonment, she encountered Japanese otaku culture and developed a strong interest in idol songs and glow sticks. Therefore, her life in confinement was not entirely bad.
The fourth member is Fuwawa Abyssgard, also known as フワワ・アビスガード. She is a mischievous prankster who even troubles the gods. As the head of the “Demon World’s Guard Dog” responsible for The Cell, she is in charge of guarding her sister Mococo and their pet Pero. She has a carefree personality and is seen as a playful trickster by ordinary people.
The fifth member is Mococo Abyssgard, also known as モココ・アビスガード. She is Fuwawa’s sister and another troublemaker who was imprisoned in The Cell. She is cute and fluffy, and loves to talk and play. During her time in prison, she immersed herself in anime and games, often dragging her sister and pet into mischief. For her, participating in the jailbreak is also a form of entertainment.
