Former US President and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, 78, can count on relatively little support in US show business. While celebrities like Taylor Swift, 34, Billie Eilish, 22, Robert De Niro, 81, and George Clooney, 63, support the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, 59, only a few acting stars and musicians have announced their support on November 5th wanting to vote for Trump. One of the few exceptions is “The Day After Tomorrow” star Dennis Quaid, 70, who even spoke at a Trump campaign event in California.
Donald Trump is a “favorite president” of Dennis Quaid
As reported by the “New York Post,” among othersQuaid took the stage in the city of Coachella, which is otherwise particularly associated with the world-famous music festival of the same name. There he told the audience that it was time to “pick a side: Will we be a nation that stands for the Constitution or for TikTok?”
In addition, the acting star, who can currently be seen in cinemas in the biopic “Reagan” about former US President Ronald Reagan (1911-2004), explained that Reagan was his “favorite president of the 20th century”, while Trump was his “Favorite President of the 21st Century”.
Afterwards, the praised Donald Trump himself took the stage at temperatures well over 30 degrees Celsius and attacked the current US President Joe Biden, 91, his opponent Harris and said about the state of California: “It is a lost paradise, but we will get it back.”
