Hollywood Shutdown: WGA and SAG-AFTRA Demand Better Wages, Working Conditions, and Protection Against Streaming Services and AI

The two unions, WGA and SAG-AFTRA, demand better wages and working conditions and more protection against streaming services and artificial intelligence. It is the first time in 63 years that the two unions have gone on strike at the same time.

The combined strike shuts down all of Hollywood. Actors are not allowed to act, screenwriters are not allowed to write and promotional work is also prohibited. An end is nowhere in sight. Dozens of productions are on hold. The AP news agency listed the most important films and series that are currently affected.
