Hollywood screenwriters and studios reach agreement to end strike

Hollywood screenwriters and studios have reached an agreement after almost five months of strike. This was announced by the Writers Guild of America union.

The agreement on the new three-year contract for film and TV writers will have to be ratified by the majority of WGA members, but effectively puts an end to the mobilization that began on May 2nd. However, the actors’ union (Sag-Aftra) remains on strike, with which the producers will have to reopen the bargaining table, which was canceled in mid-July.
