Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield reunited on This Morning after a month-long absence. Holly had been scheduled to welcome Phillip back after taking time off during his brother’s child sex abuse trial, but a bout of shingles delayed their reunion until Monday. Holly, pleased to be back to full health, told viewers “I’m all mended and back. Lovely to see you!” The pair then discussed a London Marathon runner before continuing with the show. Although Phillip’s career at ITV may be in doubt, with some viewers calling for his resignation, he has the support of many senior staff. However, ITV chiefs are also keen to listen to their audiences and may consider a reshuffle of presenting staff, including bringing in more “girl power,” such as in the case of the popular Alison Hammond.
