Holly Willoughby says This Morning viewers have helped her through 2020 – and she has considered temporarily leaving the show to stay at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
In an interview about the year, Holly said she was thrilled that the hit ITV series was a tonic for some fans during the outbreak of the disease.
She said: “Obviously when you hear people say you’ve helped them, it’s worth it and that’s a beautiful thing.
“To be honest, I think we spoke to each other. We’ve always, always had this relationship with our viewers where we do the show for them.
She added, “I think by the time we started getting the app and when we had iPads on set, people could instantly comment and join in on what we were doing, that kind of third. TV wall got lost but i think during this pandemic it just just disappeared and i really feel like we went through it together.
When asked if she felt any pressure presenting a live show during a pandemic, Holly, 39, admitted she was ‘scared’ and considered staying home at some point with his family which includes two sons Harry and Chester, as well as his daughter Belle.
In November, she was given a few days off when two of her children were tested after showing symptoms.
