The organic hay region Trumer Seenland from Salzburg, the BioRegion Mühlviertel from Upper Austria and the BioRegion Eisenstraße took a further step towards closer cooperation last week in the LFS Hohenlehen. At a working meeting as part of the cross-state digitalization and micrologistics project, the next milestones on the path to increased digitalization and joint marketing of the member companies were determined.
App allows orders from multiple companies at the same time
The three regions, which have been working together since last year, have set themselves the goal of jointly developing an app that will enable customers to easily process orders from several companies at the same time. At the operational level, the automated creation of delivery notes and invoices leads to greater efficiency and performance. Overall, the developed “Regio App” contributes to the better networking of agriculture, restaurants and regional shops.
As an additional opportunity to market the products, an exchange with the company HOGAST, the purchasing cooperative for the hotel and catering industry, also took place during this meeting. It was clear that HOGAST was very interested in winning organic companies as suppliers. This is certainly conceivable with the future joint digital solution, the Regio app.
Guests tasted products from the Eisenstraße BioRegion
In order to show the guests the wide range of products on offer in the Eisenstraße BioRegion, the tasting of selected regional organic products was a must. Poldi Adelsberger, spokeswoman for the BioRegion Eisenstraße Lower Austria, proudly explains: “Even though the BioRegion Eisenstraße is the smallest of the three, you can see that the diversity in the landscape as well as in the products is a great strength of the region. The conclusion was a tour of the Oberes Ybbstal rural slaughter community.
The next date is the network meeting on October 18th, where the app will be presented in more detail. Further information at bioregion@eisenstrasse.info.
