Holidays to most European countries possible again from June 15

The Dutch can go on holiday to most European countries from 15 June. The government has taken that decision.

The countries in it Schengen area go from the code orange (only necessary trips) to the code yellow. This means that tourist trips and family visits are possible again.

The quarantine obligation for those countries expires, so as a returned tourist you do not have to stay at home for two weeks.

Countries that do not want to receive Dutch tourists this summer, such as Denmark, or where quarantine measures apply, such as the United Kingdom, will remain orange for the time being.

The orange code will also continue to apply to Morocco and Turkey. The cabinet will publish more details tomorrow, for example whether additional measures are needed now that more European tourists will come to the Netherlands.

Dutch tourists are welcome in more and more EU countries. So have France and Germany also said that for Dutch and other European tourists the travel restrictions will expire on 15 June.
