MILWAUKEE (TELEMUNDO WI) — “Holidays on the Hop” will return for another season to downtown Milwaukee.
The initiative, back for a fourth season, will feature live, holiday-themed music and cookie giveaways aboard the city’s streetcars, along with holiday decorations at each of the system’s 20 streetcar stations.
Travelers will be able to enjoy the following live performances, which will begin on Saturday, December 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. and continue on December 9 and 16:
Saturday December 2nd: JL Russell Jazz Trio
Saturday, December 9: Sarah Fierek
Saturday, December 16: Milwaukee Choristers
“We hope that The Hop will once again be a safe and convenient option for exploring downtown Milwaukee this holiday season, as well as a holiday destination in its own right,” said Public Works Commissioner Jerrel Kruschke. “We have some tremendous artists lined up to bring the spirit of the season aboard The Hop and we appreciate our many downtown partners whose support makes ‘Holidays on The Hop’ possible.”
The streetcar shelters will be decorated with Christmas motifs and in collaboration with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, HNTB, Jewish Museum Milwaukee, Milwaukee Downtown BID #21, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Pabst Theater Group.
