Holidays end and 25 million students resume online classes on Tuesday

After ending this Sunday the holiday period of Easter week, the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) reported that as of Tuesday, April 13, students and teachers from public and private institutions, incorporated into the National Educational System, will restart distance classes.

The agency explained that this Monday, April 12, the meeting of the School Technical Council (CTE) will be held, where the different aspects will be detailed to resume distance classes the next day, so there will be no new contents of the Learn at Home III program.

According to the 2020-2021 school calendar, in Basic Education, more than 25 million students will take up distance activities students and 1.2 million teachers, the same as the almost 2 million young people who study training for work and the more than 88 thousand students normal education.

The SEP has reiterated that the return to face-to-face classes, in entities with an epidemiological green light, will be gradual and voluntary, so parents are free to decide whether or not to take their children to school.

Despite the fact that education personnel have already been vaccinated, Campeche authorities postponed the return to classes, tentatively until April 19, to wait to see the behavior of the pandemic, after the vacation period of Easter week.
