The Ministry of Health recalled that to travel to some countries it is necessary to have a vaccination certificate against yellow fever. In this article we tell you what they are.

The summer months are used by many people of Paraguay for holidays abroad, especially in the countries of the region, but several countries require as an entry requirement a certificate proving that the traveler has received the vaccine against yellow feveras recalled in a statement from the Ministry of Public Health.

The countries in the region that set this requirement are: Brazil, Bolivia, Peru and Venezuelaso all the people who want to leave Paraguay for one of those nations must present the International vaccination certificate when purchasing tickets or completing immigration procedures.

This certificate is issued free of charge in any regional hospital in Paraguaywith the only obligation to present a vaccination card certifying that the person has received the yellow fever vaccine, a single-dose vaccine that lasts for life.

The certificate does not require a visa and is also valid for life.

In the event of loss of the vaccination card, the interested party can go to the health facility where he received the vaccine to issue a new card or contact his family doctor to issue a certificate attesting that the patient is already been vaccinated.

Since 2006, the yellow fever vaccine has been included in the ordinary vaccination calendar of the Ministry of Health and is given free of charge to children from the first year of age.
