Holiday trips to France will be possible again from tomorrow. The travel advice for the popular holiday country goes from orange to yellow, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. As a result, non-essential trips are also allowed again and people no longer have to quarantine or be tested when they return to the Netherlands.
However, France still has a number of entry restrictions. Anyone who wants to go on holiday must either be fully vaccinated or have a recent negative PCR test.
In addition to France, Belgium (except the Brussels Region), Estonia, Lithuania, Greece (except Athens), the region around the Croatian capital Zagreb and Slovenia are changing from orange to yellow.
Deltavariant in Lisbon
At the same time, the Portuguese capital Lisbon is going to orange again, because of the worrying advance of the delta variant of the virus there. The rest of Portugal will remain yellow.
Another popular holiday destination, Spain, will remain orange for the time being. The figures are improving there, but according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs not yet enough to allow holiday travel. The percentage of positive tests and the number of travelers who currently return to the Netherlands from Spain with a corona infection were also examined.
Also outside the EU, more areas and countries are yellow. This applies to the United States, for example, but that country does not yet allow holiday travel.
