Holiday: the Christmas convicts

On this day of celebration, everyone takes the opportunity to rest or meet up with family or friends. But some went to work, for example in this hotel on the west coast where security manager, waiter, craftsman or even taxi driver were hard at work.

There are those who profit, and there are those who work. About twenty agents from this security company were spread over Tahiti.

“At the Manava hotel, it will be mainly to ensure respect for barrier gestures, the wearing of a mask, the distribution of hydroalcoholic gel” explains Emmanuel Leroy, safety manager.

On the side of the bar we are active, because there are people today. But the waiters are used to this kind of crowd.

“We always try to keep a good atmosphere, as you can see, well the mask it hides a little but we always keep smiling” says Roorau Mamatui, waiter

Here, this craftswoman exhibits the jewelry she and her sister made during confinement. “It’s a day like any other. I exhibit here at the Manava hotel every Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Whether it’s a public holiday, I’m here”

This taxi driver has been working since 6:45 a.m. Her last race, she will do it at 8:30 p.m.

“I do it because, it’s to please people who need to travel to go somewhere, because otherwise… There are a lot of people who don’t want to work, they want to be with their family. But there is no difference to me, my grandchildren are not there next to me ” says Emilie Foures, taxi driver

Holiday or not, holiday or not, nothing changes for them. Just like in Polynesia the 1st, where the teams are mobilized all year round to keep you informed.
