This December 5, Holguín television is celebrating its birthday, reaching the 44th anniversary of that date in 1976, when the first transmission of images and audio took place from the territory of this eastern Cuban province.
It is good to remember that the genesis of this mass communication medium was the creation of the Training School of the Cuban Institute of Broadcasting in this city, with which the idea of having a television studio began to be conceived.
Consequently, work was carried out on constructive tasks undertaken by those who would later be the television workers themselves, that is, future journalists, cameramen, announcers, program directors, actors, editors, among other artistic and technical professions inherent to that media. .
They spent years of professional training through the application of teaching; application and development of new technologies, together with the contributions of filmmakers characterized by the common denominator of talents and established workers.
This is how April 16, 1986, was reached, the date on which the television signal with the name of Telecristal, a territorial channel that is part of the Holguinean television system, went on the air for the first time, together with the community telecentres Gibara Vision and Moa TV.
Since its creation, Telecristal has been a channel characterized by work of recognized quality, due to the talent of its filmmakers who strive to meet the objectives set out in their comprehensive programming, aimed at satisfying the most demanding needs and tastes.
May this December 5, the 44th anniversary of the birth of Television in Holguín, be an occasion for the necessary recount and a starting point to continue fulfilling the role of informing, educating, entertaining and guiding, which has placed this mass media in the preference of your recipients.
