The Dane, world No. 8, has added Severin Luthi, long-time mentor of Swiss great Roger Federer, to his coaching staff.

«I am very happy to welcome Severin to my team alongside Boris», Wrote Rune on social networks, accompanied by a photo of his team.

Severin Luthi (47), was Federer’s coach from 2007 until the legendary Swiss retired in 2022.

Holger Rune, who is preparing for the Australian Open from January 14 to 28, worked in Monte Carlo with Boris Becker after integrating the German into his team in mid-October.

Rune has appeared in two ATP 1000 finals this year, in Rome and Monte Carlo, but his only title came at the Bavarian Open in Munich in April.
