Mr. A said, “The doctor at the hospital recommended that we do it at the same time, so we did it together,” and “But when I went to the pharmacy in the hospital building, my face was so sore and swollen that it felt like it was going to explode, so I thought it was a symptom that appeared right after the procedure, so I ignored it.”
A coworker who previously worked at a plastic surgery clinic looked at Mr. A’s face at the time and advised, “This doesn’t seem to be swelling caused by plastic surgery. Go to the hospital again quickly.”
When it became difficult to breathe anymore, Mr. A went straight to the hospital. The hospital informed, “It looks like an allergic reaction. You can receive emergency treatment at the emergency room.”
It is said that when Mr. A woke up after losing consciousness, the doctor had drilled a hole in his chin and drained the blood.
Mr. A said, “My airway was almost blocked. The nurses pressed my tongue with their fingers to unclog my pores and unclogged it,” and added, “I wish I could have gone to the emergency room of another hospital as soon as possible, but since they did it at that hospital without any such measures, time was delayed and I Also, the situation of fainting in the middle was repeated for six hours,” he said.
Belatedly, Mr. A took off the emergency room record and realized that the bleeding had occurred due to artery damage.
He said, “(The hospital) only said that bleeding occurred because the blood vessels were weak, but did not say anything about whether there was damage to the arteries or veins.” He added, “I went to the doctor and asked, ‘Why didn’t you tell me? I could have almost died.’ “They said, ‘He probably didn’t die,’ and that they responded quickly.”
Mr. A asked the Medical Appraisal Board about the results of the surgery and said, “There was an external force related to the surgery and the bleeding area was related to the surgery, so it is believed that the cause was traumatic damage that occurred during the surgery.” I received an opinion that “the pressure could cause breathing problems.”
Two years later, Mr. A is currently filing a criminal complaint and lawsuit for damages against the plastic surgery clinic. However, it is said that the evaluation of the evidence is being delayed due to medical strikes.
It was discovered that the hospital was claiming that the artery was not damaged due to the procedure. The hospital is said to have expressed its position to the case chief, saying, “Detailed medical information cannot be provided in accordance with the Medical Service Act,” and “It is difficult to respond further because we are in the middle of a lawsuit regarding the facts.”
