Jakarta –
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) talked about the price of fuel oil (BBM). According to Jokowi, fuel prices in Indonesia are still being held, even though world energy prices are rising.
Meanwhile, in other countries, fuel prices have gone up. Jokowi also emphasized that there are 2 serious problems facing the world today. The first is the issue of energy, namely fuel, gas, electricity. Second, is the food problem
“We try to see that the increase in gasoline is very high in countries other than us. Singapore now has a fuel price of Rp. 35,000, Germany has reached Rp. 31,000, Thailand is Rp. 20,000. Meanwhile, Pertalite is still Rp. 7,650, once again Rp. 7,650. Pertamax is Rp. 12,500, which others are far away,” said Jokowi in the Evaluation of the Proud Affirmation Action Made in Indonesia, Tuesday (24/5/2022) quoted from the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube show, Tuesday (24/5/2022).
According to Jokowi, this huge price difference occurs because the price of fuel in Indonesia is still on hold. On the other hand, energy subsidies in the state budget continue to grow.
“How long can we hold this in? This is our work together, so I ask ministries/agencies, regional governments to have the same sense,” said Jokowi.
“It’s heavy, holding a price like that is hard,” Jokowi continued.
