Hohenlohe district with the highest density of private cars – Baden-Württemberg

The density of private cars is higher in rural areas than in cities. Current figures from the Federal Motor Transport Authority show the frontrunners and taillights in the south-west.

Flensburg (dpa / lsw) – In the southwest, the Hohenlohe district has the highest density of private cars. There are 631 cars from private owners per 1,000 inhabitants, according to current data from the Federal Motor Transport Authority. It is followed by the Main-Tauber district with a density of 628 private cars per 1000 inhabitants and the Zollernalb district (624).

In contrast, the density is more manageable in the cities. Heidelberg has the fewest number of private cars in the southwest (319), followed by Freiburg im Breisgau (341) and Stuttgart (358).

All in all, there are 543 private cars for every 1000 inhabitants of Baden-Württemberg. Slightly higher than the national average (521). The front runner of the federal states is the Saarland with 608 private cars per 1000 inhabitants. Last is Berlin, where the density is 293.
