Hogwarts Legacy is available on Switch. Full reviews aren’t out yet, but players are already sharing their first impressions. On the channel SwitchUp (via VGC) a fairly thorough technical analysis appeared, revealing some interesting details.
Loads take 30 to 50 seconds, and you’ll encounter loading screens more often than in other versions. Unlike other platforms, Hogwarts Legacy on the Switch does not offer a fully open world experience without interruption. For example, when entering Hogwarts, you will encounter a separating screen and a loading screen. The map works more like a series of interconnected areas.
But it doesn’t end there. When you want to enter one of the shops in Prasinky, you will have to record again. And you have to wait 30 to 50 seconds again for the interior. Inside, it is clearly visible that the graphics have not only undergone a reduction of details, but also of some props. According to the video, loading is not a fatal obstacle, but it negatively affects the flow and pace of the game. However, the author thinks that if someone has not tried the title before on another platform, they may not perceive it as such a limitation. Overall, the SwitchUp channel’s impressions of the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy are positive.
In addition to him, an interesting comparison also appeared on the well-known channel managed by Cycu1. He focused more closely in his comparison on the visual differences between how the game looks on the Switch and on the PS5. Some differences are only subtle, others quite dramatic. After all, judge for yourself. The entire video is more than 18 minutes long.
