Hof van Twente presents the Environmental Vision concept

The municipality of Hof van Twente proudly presents the concept Environmental Vision. In this we answer the question: What do we want our living environment to look like in 2040? You can now view the draft Environmental Vision digitally via omgevingsvisie.hofvantwente.nl. On Wednesday, October 16, you can give your opinion or ask questions during a walk-in afternoon/evening.

What is the Environmental Vision?

The Environmental Vision describes the frameworks for future decisions about the living environment. It is about living, working, well-being and neighborliness. We have taken into account what makes each center and hamlet in our municipality special. The vision is built around four themes: recognizable, livable, sustainable and enterprising.

Your input has been processed

Last year, more than 600 residents shared their ideas with us during eight meetings throughout the municipality. We used these valuable contributions to create the draft Environmental Vision.

Invitation for walk-in afternoon/evening

When: October 16, 2024
Where: Town hall, Goor
What time: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

During this meeting you can give your opinion on the draft Environmental Vision. You can also ask questions to municipal employees. What happens next?

  • Following the walk-in afternoon/evening, the city council will be informed during an informative council meeting.
  • In December, the municipal council will decide whether the draft Environmental Vision will be classified as a draft Environmental Vision.
  • The draft Environmental Vision will then be available for inspection for 6 weeks. Views can be submitted during this period.
  • After considering any views, the municipal council will adopt the Environmental Vision.

Why is your involvement important?

Councilor Edwin Scheperman, responsible for spatial planning: “The Environmental Vision is our compass for the coming years. It reinforces our strengths and stimulates new ideas where necessary. Your opinion is very important to ensure that this vision really matches what our residents and entrepreneurs want and need.”
