The Austrian company specializing in vehicle transport, Hödlmayr International, connects Barcelona and Schwertberg (Austria) by rail. The link has been operational since the beginning of April to transport, initially, Renault vehicles produced in Valladolid once a week, although Hödlmayr plans to increase the frequency to three or four weekly trains. Currently, the cars are consolidated at Setram, specifically, at the international gauge terminal in the port of Barcelona located on the Principe de España wharf, where the handling and loading of the wagons is carried out. Depending on the mix of models, the company claims that the capacity of the trains ranges from 242 to 286 units. The also Austrian Rail Cargo Group is the company in charge of driving this rail service, which is run by Captrain on the Spanish side.
