The first trailer for the film Hocus Pocus 2also known as Abracadabrawas revealed this Tuesday, June 28, in addition to the date on which it will be available on the Disney + platform.
According to a Disney post on Twitter, the film will be available on September 30.
“This Halloween season, some legends never die,” Disney+ said in making the announcement.
The new film is the sequel to the 1993 production that told the story of the return of three witches at the time of Halloween to the town of Salem. In that story, the witches sought to live forever.
Now, almost three decades after that first installment, actresses Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker will be back in their roles as the Sanderson sisters (Winifred, Mary and Sarah).
In Hocus Pocus 2three teenagers will face the witches after two of them summoned them.
“It has been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the sisters of the 17th century, and they are seeking revenge. Now it’s up to three high school students to stop ravenous witches from causing a new kind of chaos in Salem before dawn on Halloween eve.”
Other actors who are part of this new installment of Hocus Pocus son Doug Jones, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Sam Richardson.
