The second half resumed with several Ghent attacks towards the goal from Bussels, including a superb effort from Gerniers who got past part of the visiting defense and finally crossed towards the goal. Opposite, the Dragons used the counter to bring danger in front of De Ryck’s cage, first via a cross-shot in front of goal, then on a penalty corner from De Groof.
In the last quarter, Ghent created two big chances in quick succession, first after an overflow from Van der Geld that Struik was unable to recover, then from a penalty corner. The goal fell from Van Remortel’s stick in the 59th minute. The Dragons did not give up and obtained a penalty corner.
