The La Pampa Under 19 women’s hockey team won the Argentine National Team Championship Ascenso B, and managed to move up to Ascenso A. The competition took place – from Thursday the 17th to this Sunday the 20th – on the Sportsman and Studebaker fields in Villas Cañas (Santa Fe).
Asociación Pampeana won the championship after defeating Asociación Noroeste 4 to 3 in the defining match.
The Best Player of the tournament was Gabriela Anahía Plaza Tolosa from the Catamarca Hockey Federation; The Best Goalkeeper was Francisca Larrosa from the Noroeste Association and the Best Player of the Final was Naiara Sofía Fernández from Pampa.
ROAD TO THE FINAL
On Saturday, the Pampas team initially defeated the Buenos Aires West Association 2-0, and then beat the Chubut Valley Association 4-1.
In the qualifying phase, the La Pampa team defeated the Catamarca Hockey Federation 6 to 2 and lost 3 to 2 with the San Luis Federation.
The general classification of the championship was with the Pampeana Association at the top; the Northwest Association in second place; and then the Southwestern Association of Buenos Aires, Sanluiseña Federation, classified; Chubut Valley Association, Unión del Centro Amateur Field Hockey Federation, Buenos Aires Province Center Hockey Association, Catamarca Hockey Federation, Neuquén Federation and Western Buenos Aires Association.
