Hockey: the next generation in the spotlight at the Pavillon Jean-Béliveau

Hockey Estrie, in partnership with the Cascades elite AAA franchises, the Harfangs AAA de Sherbrooke and the Victoriaville Minor Hockey Association, will present the third World 3 on 3 M-11 AA Challenge. The event will take place on Sunday, December 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pavillon Jean-Béliveau in Victoriaville.

“On half-ice, 10 teams made up of 70 of the brightest prospects (born in 2014) from Estrie will compete in a 3-on-3 formula in front of parents and friends, but also in the presence of several of our leaders and coaches of the two elite AAA franchises in Estrie,” mentioned Nicolas Boucher, technical director of the Cascades elite AAA organization.

The two Estrie franchises will also install an information kiosk to offer players and parents all the information necessary to join an elite AAA franchise in the region. The franchises play in the Quebec Hockey League of Excellence (LHEQ). This circuit allows first-level student athletes to progress in a AAA sport-study hockey program recognized by the Quebec Ministry of Education.

Elite AAA franchises and their teams of qualified coaches ensure the development of players’ full potential, both in terms of sporting skills and individual development.

Stéphane Houle, general director of Victoriaville Minor Hockey and Yan Plourde, governor of the region’s AA and BB Intercity Tigers, invite the population to come and watch this 3-on-3 formula which offers high-quality hockey with the presentation of 18 games of 15 minutes untimed. Entrance to the Jean-Béliveau Pavilion is free.
