Hockey Slovan is struggling in the biggest crisis in the independent era. Not only is he not doing well on the sporting scene, but the club itself was hit with devastating news on Thursday night. The majority owner of Belasý Rudolf Hrubý († 69) died unexpectedly in one of his apartments in Bratislava on Bajkalská street.
What will happen next with the most famous team from under the Tatras, especially the fans ask. Board member and shareholder Pavol Hofstädter (46) told Nový Čas that everyone now has to lock up and fight for Slovan out of respect for Mr. Hrubé!

Rudolf Hrubý was one of the richest Slovaks and in 2020 he became the owner of the hockey club when he bought it from Juraj Široký. He was its majority owner. At the same time, he was a co-founder of ESET. His fortune was worth 770 million euros this year, according to Forbes magazine.
