POPRAD – The Slovak political scene is experiencing a rejuvenation of the cadre. Moreover, since the last election, there has been a growing trend of athletes who would like to try their hand at politics. A well-known former hockey representative, Dávid Skokan, said something similar, but he ended up in a hospital bed just two months before the elections! What happened to him?

A hockey representative who campaigns
The jumper revealed to Topkám that he had surgery on both knees just this week. Skokan appears as number 25 on the candidate list of the Christian Democratic Movement. However, the public is more familiar with him from the moments when he appeared on the ice surface on TV screens during the annual hockey world championships. “Well, I’m already feeling good, since I’m already done with the operation. For about three to five days it will be about crutches, but then I will gradually load myself with exercise and the bike,” told us the hockey player, who is also actively involved in the campaign for KDH.

The doctors at the hospital already know him well
Operations are nothing new for Skokan. “Dr. Lajoš and Dr. Dobrík operated on me at the Poprad hospital, I’m already a regular customer, so they already know me well and I thank them, as well as the nurses, for their care.” said the words of thanks Skokan. The question now is when he will return to normal life. “Since both knees were operated on, the operation lasted about two hours, but everything, praise God, turned out great! I’m looking forward to eating something and relaxing for a day. I’ll go home tomorrow morning.” can’t wait for Skokan.
