“Hockey players welcomed by full Riga on newly declared public holiday”

A historic moment such as a World Championship medal must be properly celebrated. Last night, during an extraordinary session, the Latvian parliament approved Monday as a public holiday, so tens of thousands of fans welcomed the bronze hockey players in Riga on a normal working day.
