BRATISLAVA – The hockey players of Slovan Bratislava ended a streak of three losses in the Tipos extraliga when they beat the newcomers from Humenné 4:3 after extra time in the match of the 13th round.
Daniil Fominych scored the winning goal seven seconds before the end of overtime from a free kick. Christopher James Brown took care of two accurate hits for the winners.
The guests in Bratislava won the first period thanks to a goal from Dávid Šoltés in a power play, but after two goals from Brown after the change of sides, the Whites took the lead. However, the last team in the table was able to win overtime when Lukáš Handlovský made waves in the net 18 seconds before the third siren and tied the game at 3:3. At the end of extra time, Adam Lapšanský hooked Fominych, and the Russian forward converted an independent raid.

Banská Bystrica succeeded after raids
The hockey players of HC ’05 Banská Bystrica won the match of the 13th round of the Tipos extraliga over HC Košice 3:2 after extra time and raids. They thus caught up with their opponent, who did not follow up on three wins in a row. The home team went through the first ever overtime and raids in the season and extracted two points from the extra time and the second triumph in a row.
The home hockey players took the lead already in the third minute, when the puck landed in front of Riečicky from two meters after a previous own shot by Roman Faith. The guests then did not use the power play, but got a chance after a mistake in the home defense. He took a great pass from Pollock Fejes on the offensive blue line and turned his escape into a goal to make it 1:1.
In the second period, both teams did not convert the chances or the numerous advantages into a goal, thanks to the excellent goalkeepers, he fell only at the beginning of the third period due to overnumbering and Pollock rejoiced – 1:2. But in the end, Bystrica took advantage of the power play after Žitné’s shot from the right circle and it went to overtime. In it, both teams did not score even in a situation of four against three, and so the resolution was brought by separate raids – the decisive one was converted by Rastislav Gašpar.

The hockey players of HK Nitra triumphed in the 13th round of the Tipos extraliga on the ice of HC MIKRON Nové Zámky 3:2 after a shootout. The guests’ triumph was decided by Samuel Buček. “Corgoni” confirmed their rising form and won the fifth of the past six duels.
They took the lead in the derby in the 19th minute, when Gajdoš prevailed after a nice combination action. At the beginning of the second period, Hrnek raised the ball on the power play. The hockey players of HK Poprad won the 13th round of the Tipos extraliga over HK Dukla Trenčín 5:2. “Kamzíci” triumphed after the previous two losses and remained in 10th place in the table. The guests have failed in the sixth game in a row and belong to the penultimate 11th place.
The home team opened the score of the match in the 13th minute thanks to a precise finish by Ukrainian striker Oleksandr Peresunk. “Kamzíci” increased the score in the 13th second of the second half, when Patrik Svitana made a breakthrough after a throw-in. Tyler Coulter adjusted the three-goal difference just before the break. Trenčín reduced the score to 2:3 in the third period thanks to two accurate strikes by Denis Hudec. However, the people of Poprad already secured the victory and two more goals by Andrej Kukuča adjusted the result to the final 5:2.
