For positive tests, players had previously had to match three junior World Cup matches in Edmonton and Red Deere. The premature end of the championship came shortly after the non-play of the duel of the B-group of the Slovak Republic – Russia, which they won 1: 0 in favor of Slovakia after the positive result of the Russian forward Matvej Mičkov.
