H&M closes New York store after employee leaked photo of bugs on hoodies

The H&M store in New York City was closed as the clothing retailer investigates a disturbing photo claiming to show hoodies filled with dozens of tiny bugs.

Twitter user @Madesonee_ posted the photos on Wednesday, explaining, “I work at H&M in the World Trade Oculus & today a customer discovered lice on a display of hoodies. “

All 3 images showed a close-up of several light-colored hoodies covered in insects.

She continued, “They are not closing the store and not informing the employees of the problem. The section has just been blocked. “

It apparently didn’t take long for H&M Brass to find out about the post, as they released a statement hours later, saying, “As a precaution, we have closed the H&M store at Westfield World Trade Center in order to fully investigate. “

It is not currently known how the bugs got on the clothes, whether during manufacture, transport or in the store… but the photos are sure to make you crawl.
