Hall. PI. In the last few days, there have been a number of cases and attempts of fraud in the entire area of the Halle Police Inspectorate.
Those affected received messages from relatives via a messenger service, saying they were using another cell phone because their own was not working. The alleged relative then asked for money to be transferred for an emergency that had arisen. Unfortunately, some of those contacted have already become victims of the scam and transferred cash.
Please check the truthfulness of messages from an unknown phone number. Contact the family member(s). These can of course be reached under their actual phone numbers. Don’t rush to transfer cash to someone else’s account!
