“The ban on a political party does not mean an automatic ban on the political life or political activities of its members or even its leadership,” he said.
However, Malyuska stressed that there will be no faction or party “OPZZh” as a political force in the parliament. Its activities were suspended and the faction disbanded.
He also added that the Cabinet of Ministers has submitted a bill to the Verkhovna Rada stating that the deputies of local councils will also lose their powers, which were previously delegated to them by the Opposition Platform for Life.
The Minister of Justice noted that members of the Opposition Platform for Life will theoretically be able to participate in other political forces, but from a practical point of view, they may face certain difficulties.
Thus, the leadership of the party will practically be deprived of the technical ability to join another political force in the near future.
Malyuska noted that members of the Opposition Platform for Life could create a new political force or another party could accept them into its membership. But if they are involved in anti-Ukrainian activities, the Ministry of Justice will also file a lawsuit to ban this party as well.
