“Compared to last year at the end of 2023, there were 321 cases, so if there were 170 this July, we should be more alert,” explained Elfi.

He said, from this case, his party found several people of productive age, between 18 years and 45 years, who were vulnerable to HIV.

“This case is a cause of great alarm because many people of productive age are affected, because it can be said that they are close to the spread of HIV,” he said. “We also found cases of babies who had been diagnosed with HIV because it spread from mother to child,” continued Elfi.

There are always reported deaths due to HIV AIDS every year. Therefore, his party is still struggling to find people who are at risk of getting HIV. “The more we find, the more chances there are to break the chain of disease,” he concluded.
