It has been almost 22 years since we were introduced to Agent 47, including the Hitman franchise. Since then, the Hitman franchise has experienced highs and lows. But we can say with a clear conscience that IO Interactive is currently in one of its better periods with Hitman 1 and 2. But the quality of 2 other games, of course, says nothing about the quality of part 3. So how well IO Interactive closes the World of Assassination trilogy? You will find out in the Hitman 3 Review.
World of Assassination
Not everyone was equally fond of the direction Hitman Absolution was heading. But since then, IO Interactive has managed to get back on track with Hitman 1 and 2. Hitman 1, which was an episodic game, went back to the roots of the franchise. And part 2 improved what part 1 actually did quite well. So the World of Assassination trilogy has a good start and a strong middle piece. But will the World of Assassination trilogy also be closed strongly?
Eliminate enemies in unique ways
The idea behind what you do is simple: You are Agent 47 and you have a number of targets that need to be eliminated. But just because the idea sounds simple doesn’t mean the gameplay is actually simple. In Hitman 3 you will have to sneak around, disguise yourself and eventually make sure your target is eliminated. The way you do this is entirely up to you. For example, Hitman offers 3 different options to eliminate your target. Are you someone who likes to shoot guns blazing all your enemies? Then that is an option. But to another person, being very sneaky disguising yourself as a cook and then putting poison in the food will sound like a better idea. How JJ and Daan did the jobs, they tell you, along with their opinion about the game, in the Hitman 3 Review.
