IO Interactive will release “Year 2” DLC for Hitman 3 early next year, which will include new maps, new story elements and a new game mode: Elusive Target Arcade. The PC version of the game will also be upgraded with support for ray tracing and VR headsets.
That’s what producer Hakan Abrak of IO Interactive said in a trailer for the Year 2 DLC, with additional information on the website of IO Interactive. The DLC will be released in parts from January 20. Abrak says there will be “new maps, new storylines, new play modes and a new way of playing” in Year 2. He won’t say exactly what that means.
It is known that a new game mode is coming: Elusive Target Arcade. This mode puts a spin on the current Elusive Target mode with a ‘new challenge’. IO Interactive will share more information about this mode in January. In addition, the PC version of the game will be upgraded with support for ray tracing. In addition, the game’s VR mode, which is now only playable with PS VR, will be expanded to PC in January.
IO Interactive promises another major update for the game in the spring. The company has not yet released more information. IO interactive does write that Hitman 3 is the most successful Hitman game of all time with 50 million players.
